What would you say makes your patient care approach unique?"Effective treatment depends on getting the right diagnosis as soon as possible. We'll make sure you get the personalized attention and individual care you need — so you can heal faster and get back to the activities and people you love most."If you could convince your patients to change one behavior to improve their health, what would it be?"New habits, like healthy eating and regular physical activity, help you manage your weight and have more energy. After a while, if you stick with these changes, they become part of your daily routine."
What would you say makes your patient care approach unique?"Everybody basically wants to lead a healthy life, but there are different beliefs and obstacles that contribute to ambivalence. When a doctor asks a patient what he/she knows about their condition, addresses the concerns and asks what lifestyle changes could be made, the patient becomes a participant in his/her health. This partnership in care is what I strive to give to my patients."If you could convince your patients to change one behavior to improve their health, what would it be?"Make a plan that will stick. Your plan is a map that will guide you on a journey of change. You can even think of it as an adventure. When making your plan, be specific and ask yourself if you're confident that these activities and goals are realistic for you. If not, start with smaller steps."
What would you say makes your patient care approach unique?"Recognizing and responding to the needs of an individual forms an important underpinning to the concept of personalization and to the development of a responsive service that is truly patient-centered. Therefore, seeing patients as individuals within a complex health service allows me to deliver care in a unique and focused approach. "If you could convince your patients to change one behavior to improve their health, what would it be?"Starting with small changes in a patient’s life is much more effective than insisting on an overhaul. Patients who are faced with a radical change in their lives often feel overwhelmed and don’t even try. But they feel they can make small steps, and many small steps add up to big changes."
What would you say makes your patient care approach unique?"I see the entire range of pediatrics from newborns to young adults. Approximately half of our patients are treated for diabetes while the other half have problems associated with thyroid dysfunction, pubertal disorders, poor growth, pituitary damage, bone disease and adrenal disorders. It is essential that I not only educate the caretakers but also the children so they can grow up to understand their conditions and be an advocate for their own health."If you could convince your patients to change one behavior to improve their health, what would it be?"All children - including those with diabetes - benefit from at least one hour of active play daily!"

Dr. Anderson-Killen and her staff provide a comfortable environment respectful of patients' time, values and beliefs.
"If you could convince your patients to change one behavior to improve their health, what would it be?"Try to eliminate stress from your life when possible as prolonged or excessive stress can affect our reproductive health."
What would you say makes your patient care approach unique?"It may not be unique but my main focus is communication. I will listen to your questions and concerns and answer them in a way you understand. I am happy to explain your health situation clearly and make sure you know all of your care options."If you could convince your patients to change one behavior to improve their health, what would it be?"Add variety to your everyday routines and stay motivated. Mix up your physical activities and set goals for yourself."
